It looks like fans of AR Rahman were not quite happy with the fact that the composer preferred to sing Tamil songs over Hindi numbers at his recent concert at Wembley’s The SSE Arena, UK. Hindi speakers instantly took to their micro-blogging page and some even asked for refunds for the ticket. This led to a war of words between Hindi and non-Hindi speakers on social media. Some even went on to say that the composer was a Tamilian and that Hindi speakers should understand that music has no language.
The composer had shared his excitement earlier on his social networking page. "Friends and music lovers in the UK, looking forward to being amongst you and performing with my entire team," wrote Rahman. Interestingly, the concert was titled Netru Indru Naalai and the 65 per cent of the songs were in Hindi.
